My Teaching

I am able to make complex concepts engaging, clear, and easy to learn. I understand what is needed to learn maths well, so I can quickly identify and fix any gaps in knowledge and fundamentals. Having marked and given feedback on so many exams, I am able to highlight and communicate common mistakes, and teach strategies to help students minimise careless mistakes.

I also have a lot of experience and passion in writing exams, particularly in crafting challenge problems found at the end of papers to test real understanding. I am able to teach problem solving strategies for these challenging questions, sharing the thought process behind these strategies, and helping students understand the logic behind their applications. I can also help with general exam techniques and provide advice on improving their mindset in high pressure exam situations.

I am a patient teacher and always happy to answer questions to help students improve.
